    • Unlike most books in this series, the title of the novel is given on the front cover.
    • The uncredited illustrative cover design is repeated on the back, but without the title.
    • Pages are gilt-edged and there is a gold satin bookmark bound into the book.
    • The B&W frontispiece, credited on the title page, is on the page facing the title page.
    • There are five interior full-page B&W illustrations by Frank Mayo, appearing on numbered pages and indexed on page [9].
    • "Collector's Notes" (uncredited) are on a double-sided laid-in sheet.
    • Verifier has been unable to determine if this edition is a facsimile reprint of an earlier one. It may be a reprint of the 1981 Nelson Doubleday (SFBC) edition, but with extra pages accounting for the interior illustrations.
    • Verified copy was purchased for approximately $40.00 from the publisher.
