    • The front cover has a sub-title of "In this brave New World, aging is a crime...." This is not on the title page.
    • The printing date is stated as "1977" on the title page. There is no number line or other printing indication on the copyright page other than "First Edition".
    • Gutter code "H 14" on page 187 indicates an early April 1977 manufacturing date.
    • The copy I'm verifying is from a public library which date-stamped it July 11, 1977. ~Marc Kupper
    • July 2010 - An AbeBooks seller reports "Advance copy, with agent's bookplate [Ziegler, Diskant & Roth] and 'Pub. Date May 27, 1977' on front endpaper." This was used to update the ISFDB publication record's date from 1977-00-00 to 1977-05-27.
    • The publisher is stated on the title page as "Doubleday & Company, Inc." over "Garden City, New York" over "1977".
    • There are 4 unnumbered pages before page 1.
    • The ISBN is stated on the copyright page and back jacket flap. There is no bar code.
    • The price is on the front jacket flap as "A.G.R." over "$6.95". It's assumed "A.G.R." is an abbreviated title.
    • The cover artist credit is stated on the back jacket flap. A signature is not visible within the artwork.
    • The copyright page states "Library of Congress Catalog Card Number 76-23802" with that LCCN being found on the LOC web site.
    • Stated "Doubleday Science Fiction" on the front cover and spine.
    • Transient verification is against a public library copy. I should be able to retrieve this publication if needed for a verification question. ~Marc Kupper.
