- Gutter code of the first SFBC printing is "31J" on page 219, indicating a printing in August 1968 [PV6]. The Primary1 copy is a later printing with gutter code "26Q" on page 219 (June 1974). Another confirmed gutter codes are "09P". (February 1973), "36J" (September 1968), on page 221 and "L47" (November 1970). Ebayer reports 27K, when questioned about a listing. Another seller in ebay reported 8K as well.
- Cover art is not credited but appears to be artwork commissioned for the film. Artist verified from "Art of Robert McCall."
- Foreword is signed "A. C. C." which has been credited to Clarke for this record.
