• Note: Founded in 1916, the LLLC originally used real leather for their binding but switched to faux leather during WWI. Their books measured 3¼ X 4 inches, and reprinted strictly public domain works. It is unknown if the works are edited or abridged. Of the 101 chapbooks in this series, none are numbered. In 1922 LLLC was renamed Robert K. Haas, so any book in the series with the Robert K. Haas name on the title page is 1922 or later. These booklets were originally sold for $0.10 and were sold individually, as sets, and by mail-order, then they were also used as give-aways. No books in this series had printed prices, nor did they have either copyright pages, or printing dates. There was also a red "leather" version (called the "Redcraft" edition), all have sewn bindings.
