• Note: San Francisco 1919 to 1965 Edwin E. Grabhorn (1889–1968) and Robert Grabhorn (1900–1973), brothers, established this fine press in 1919. Robert continued in the publishing business with Andrew Hoyem (born 1935) as Grabhorn-Hoyem, 1966 to 1973. Robert's wife Jane Bissell Grabhorn (1911–1973), typographer, bookbinder, and publisher as Jumbo Press (housed at Grabhorn), worked there 1934 to 1973. Andrew Hoyem continued in the business as Arion Press from 1974. (The intermediate publisher Grabhorn-Hoyem is not in the database April 2017.)
