Note: • Series used Easton Press catalog numbers 106-001 to 106-277. Four numbers ended up not being produced; 106-005, title and author unknown; 106-033, William Shatner Tech Lords; 106-047 Isaac Asimov Forward the Foundation; 106-266 Howard Waldrop Moone World. • Years of production were 1988 to 2010. • Author's signed signature pages which were then tipped into the books. Authors were paid $1 per signature at the start, later it was $2, not sure if it went up again before the series ended. • Starting with 106-105 "signed" Certificates of Authenticity came with the books. The Certificates sent were copies of a single signed original. • James Gunn advised Easton Press on books to include and wrote introductions specifically for the Easton Press editions up until 106-115. Books 106-116 to 106-126 had introductions by Gunn and other authors. Starting with 106-127 Easton Press dropped the introductions and starting inserting loose collector's notes instead. • First Edition status - some collectors dispute the claim that these books are first edition, saying they were released too long after the publisher's editions. It is more complicated than that, supposedly the books were produced at the same time as the publisher's editions but because of Easton Press's distribution method they sometimes showed up months after the publisher's editions. Easton Press only shipped one book per month to subscribers. They frequently had multiple books whose publisher's editions were coming out the same month, so those would get shipped over a several month period to subscribers. But, there were also at least a few cases where the Easton Press editions showed up months before the publisher's edition, probably because of some holdup at the regular publisher. • Prices - what subscribers paid for the books varied depending on how long you were a subscriber. Subscribers from the beginning started out paying under $40 and if they continued to the end, the final books were $72.25. If you joined part way through, you paid whatever the price was at that time, including for older books in the series (if they still had copies).
