Note: Angoisse ("anguish") was a popular series published by Fleuve Noir between 1954 and 1974 (261 volumes), directed by François Richard, and specialized in horror, fantasy and the bizarre. This was made obvious by the original logo of the series, a skull on a yellow medieval castle. The logo was abandoned as from #147, as well as any mention of price, when the cover was given a more modern look (glossy film, no more hand-written titles due to the illustrator). All the covers of the series were illustrated by Michel Gourdon.
