Note: A series devoted to horror and dark fantasy. It mainly published Anglo-Saxon authors, a few French writers such as Jeanne Faivre d'Arcier, Jean-Christophe Chaumette, Pierre Pelot, Bernard Florentz or Marc Mouly, as well as one German (Joachim Körber) and one Japanese (Kōji Suzuki) author. It was directed by Patrice Duvic, and co-directed by David Camus from 1999 to 2002.
- Numbering system : numbered in the 9000 range (9001 to 9297). It is to be noted that series numbers don't strictly correspond to chronological order (and sometimes not at all).
- Note that some numbers were never published (no use trying to look for them elsewhere !) : 9034; 9134; 9154; 9167; 9208; 9213; 9218; 9221; 9222; 9225; 9246; 9253; 9257; 9263; 9265; 9268; 9270; 9271; 9276; 9281; 9282; 9287; 9288; 9290; 9292; 9293; 9294; 9296.
- Note also that #9066 was misprinted "9906" on spine (printed upside down), and each copy of the same printing was corrected with a small blue sticker, of a slightly lighter shade than the blue area it was meant to merge with.
- Note finally two erratic numbers, normally belonging to the "Pocket Science Fiction" series : 5766 and 5767 (Clive Barker, Galilée and Galilée 2).
- General aspect : frequent black or dark blue background on cover; black spine, with a detail of the cover illustration at the top; title constantly in red lettering.
- Life span : from 1989 to 2003. It was then taken over by Fleuve Noir under the name "Thriller fantastique", with the same general aspect and 9xxx numbering.
- A few non-genre thrillers have been omitted here (viz., Thomas Harris, Andrew Klavan, Pierre Pelot, etc.).
