• Note: The Conan books originally published by Lancer with the series ultimately completed by Ace numbered in their internal chronology order. Lancer began publishing Conan books in 1966 and originally numbered their books in the order they were published. This series does not represent that ordering. Beginning as early as 1968 (with Conan the Avenger, Lancer began listing the series in its internal chronology order including placeholders for volumes that were planned but not yet named. This listing usually appeared on the page preceding the title page and Lancer included previously published volumes in these orderings. Eventually Lancer began listing the volume number from this ordering on the title page or front cover in addition to the series listing. The last published volume in the series, Conan of Aquilonia appeared after Lancer had gone out of business and was ultimately published by Ace who took over reprints for the series.
