- Publication Series: Ariel Library Series Pub. Series Record # 616
-
Note: The first Series, titled "The Ariel Library," was published beginning with "Caesar's Column: A Story of the Twentieth Century", June 1891. We know of no substantial listing of books in this series. The second (or "new") series, was published quarterly from 1894 to at least #24 in 1900. This series consisted of inexpensive editions of previously published books. The first book in the series was "Hell up to date : the reckless journey of R. Palasco Drant, special correspondent through the infernal regions, as recorded by himself", which sounds like speculative fiction, but is not listed in ISFDB (as of 2011). The series was subscription based, for $2 per year, and published by "The Schulte Publishing Co., 334 Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A."
