Balada o Juraji Čupovi?Balada o Juraji Cupovi
Balada o Juraji Chupovi
[Czech] (1929) [may list more publications, awards, reviews, votes and covers]
Type: SHORTFICTION
Language: English
Note: Translated by Paul Selver Titular hero misspelled with "Jaraj" in Contento (and hence copied to other sources) but later editions and even bibliographies of the time (see The Best [American] Short Stories or Index To Short Stories Second Supplement) have the proper Juraj, so it's extremely unlikely that the (still unverified) 1st ed would make such a grave error. Some later editionss prepend "The" before the title; the 1994 trans by Norma Comrada uses the more faithful The Ballad of Juraj Cup.
