Synopsis: In Pistoia, a married woman fell in love with a painter, a man of "evil will." Together they plotted to be rid of her husband: he would paint her, and would use unnatural skill to make the picture so irresistible that her husband would kiss it. When the portrait was completed, the husband kissed it and fell dead—after also kissing his wife and passing on the fatal poison to her.
