Synopsis: A human crosses the desert and is captured by the hostile aliens who share the planet, who require humans to try to access a strange object they feel may contain valuable knowledge. The human does gain access and discovers a spaceship, equipped with artificially intelligent facilities which educate him to the reality of the planet's history, causing him to launch the ship towards Earth.
