1613^ⓘJohn Carlyle, in his book on "Dante's Divine Comedy" writes: "In 1595, the Academicians del Crusca, taking the Aldine edition and comparing it with about one hundred different manuscripts, gave out their text of the Commedia, in a somewhat shabby and very incorrect little volume. Two of the four incorrect editions published in the 17th century have the title..." given here. I.e., he is referring to the two editions of this particular variant title.
