Synopsis: Can anything stop the enemies of Honor? Peace has finally been established between the People's Republic of Haven and the Star Kingdom, but a brutal attack on the Manticoran home system alerts Honor Harrington to a grave new danger. A shadowy organization known as the Mesan Alignment has emerged with a plan to enslave the entire human species. And the only way to defend against another Mesan strike▬one that may spell Manticore's doom in a single blow▬is to shut down and secure the wormhole network, a move that the Solarian League will take as an act of war.
