Synopsis: The narrator is part of a group of revelers who are joined by a charming gentleman who calls himself "Baron Saturne." Eventually the narrator recalls having seen the baron before, while passing by the scene of an execution. Indeed, the baron has a singular relationship to executions, and there is to be one the next morning.
