Note: Everett F. Bleiler's Science-Fiction: The Early Years states that this is a reprint of the periodical edition, but does not specify whether that subtitle was used. Bleiler further states it is credited to Reynolds. However all other editions do not credit an author. The introduction to the 1947 edition discusses the possibility that a Dr. James Reynolds of Philadelphia is the actual author but concludes there is not enough evidence to be certain.
