Synopsis: The Athenaeum, July 16, 1887, p. 82: "Reached at Last", which calls itself a romance of nineteenth century science, is an exceedingly poor imitation of Jules Verne, written in atrociously bad English, and ending with an elaborate description of the Putney Hospital for Incurables, and an appeal on behalf of the same.
