Howells writes Edgar Rice Burroughs that he believes the poor showing of the serial The Son of Tarzan in England was due to the fact that there had been too many Tarzan movies lately. ERB responds that he agrees and that had he realized that he would never have allowed a Tarzan serial to be made.
