Synopsis: The narrator describes a relationship with his friend, a self-described "genius" who believes that all truth is relative. The narrator's wife cheats on him with his friend; he later kills the friend out of revenge by shoving him off a cliff in the mountains. Witnesses to this event interpret and describe it in different ways, leading the narrator to conclude that there indeed is no objective truth.
