Synopsis: Milla Sulay has only seven days of pleasure before reaching Selkca, the Homestead planet where she'll begin a new life. A lonely one. As a passenger on the Pleasure Princess, Milla intends to take advantage of every amenity—including the services of the handsome, fully articulated Pleasurebots provided for every passenger's service. Jarden is no Pleasurebot, though his surgical enhancements have given him advantages over standard men. Jarden's working toward his own freedom on a Homestead planet, but when an unscheduled stop puts the cruiser into Newcity airspace, he might not be going anywhere but prison. Jarden's what they call a "mecho" in Newcity, and that means he's illegal. Without time to think about anything other than the few hours she's shared with Jarden, Milla determines to save him from being arrested by making him her field husband.
