Synopsis:
This "recalls a little Alice in Wonderland, but in the present instance the heroine lives in the Western Isles, from where it is much easier to get into Fairyland than in the more prosaic surroundings of Lewis Carroll's heroine. Fiona, the Hebridean Alice, has entertaining conversations with dogs, birds, and other creatures, and wanders happily in that mysterious region of fancy which is really never far away for the imaginative child. ...
There are six pleasantly fanciful illustrations by Somerled Macdonald."
