Synopsis: It's 1860, and it's been a year since Charles' best friend—and the love of his life—died in a fire in Houston, Texas. Charles kept his feelings for Jim to himself, and even Jim's wife never suspected anything. With Jim gone, and secession in the air, Charles has decided to leave Texas forever. On his way to Colorado Territory he runs into a pair of slave catchers—and the young couple they've captured. The law is on the side of the slave catchers, but justice is not.
