Note: First published in Bolster's Quarterly Magazine, Vol. 1, No. 3 (August 1826). This was an unsigned article titled "Irish Poetry" which contained Jeremiah Joseph Callanan's translation "On the Last Day" and two other poems, including "Cusheen Loo." Therefore, the latter two have generally been erroneously attributed to Callanan, but a letter exists in which Callanan states that they are not by him.
