Synopsis: 20 years after a cataclysmic asteroid impact melted 75% of the polar ice caps and produced strange paranormal powers in a minority of the population, the rebel Auric Rights League fights the oppressive Inter-Continental Police to legally end their persecution. In the weeks prior to the landmark vote on the Auric Rights bill, tempers run high and treachery abounds. Raven Armistead, daughter of the Auric Rights League leader, and Val Tarrant, the ICP Agent hunting her, are betrayed by both sides and left for dead. They go into hiding together, safer with the enemy they know than the friends who might have tried to kill them, while they try to unravel the complex schemes of revolution and betrayal.
