Synopsis: Early in the 21st century, science predicted that, between 2020 and 2050, cybernetic systems created by men would match the current processing capacity of the human mind. Also early in that century, science was giving rise to the revolutions that would forever change the structure of human civilization. After the 21st century, many of science's promises became a reality and many of its threats, a nightmare. The evolution of human nature was not able to keep up with the staggering technological advances that the species was experiencing. In spite of the possibilities, social problems and conflicts worsened and social inequality also became an extreme inequality in access to these technological wonders. In this critical moment of human history, a new and unique form of artificial intelligence is born. An A.I. capable of a direful realization about the role of mankind, and about its own role, in the history of the universe, in face of the possible futures that both life forms could experience. Created with the intent of destroying mankind, this advanced cybernetic mind demonstrates to its mentor that, contrary to what he might believe, its birth and the project they had created together represented the exact critical evolutionary step that life on this planet had been waiting for. It is possible that there is a purpose to the existence of life in the universe, and it is possible that there is a future for the evolution of the life that bloomed on planet Earth in this context. But it is likely that, contrary to what the human mind naively thinks, it will not be a human future.
