Note: Originally written as "Kami-sama" in 1993, then revised in 2011 and printed in the Japanese literary magazine "Gunzo" in June 2011 in three sections: the new version, an afterword by the author about what prompted her to revisit this early work, and the original story. Translated by Ted Goossen & Motoyuki Shibata (all three pieces).
Synopsis: A man and his neighbor, a bear, spend a fine day walking, fishing, and chatting.
