Synopsis: Wouldn't it be great if there was a city where everyone loves books? Where all people are famous writers? And where the worlds of books come to life? Such a city exists! Odessa is twelve when she discovers Scribopolis. Odessa never knew her father, her mother refuses to tell her where he is. Then one day her mother is kidnapped by boar-like creatures. With a talking canary as a guide she goes to Scribopolis, believing her father lives there. Unfortunately she arrives at a bad time because the renegade writer Mabarak wants to take over the city, and puts every effort in depriving the writers of their inspiration.
