Bleiler twice reports The Graphic serial dates January 9 to May 6, but the former was a Monday. The first 18 Saturdays of 1899 were -01-07 to -05-06.
As published in Harper's Weekly there is one illustration each week, reproduced as a headpiece, for instance vol. 43, p. 11 (viewed at HathiTrust).
(There the distinctive signature "H. Lanos" is not visible, and the visible signature looks like "? Marsh??".)
