Synopsis: Astronaut Felice Rothman was sent by NASA on a 1000 day journey to Planet X to study the inhabitants. She successfully assimilates into the the planet's society on and learns to speak the aliens' language. When Felice returns, she asks Nancy Bogen to edit her account of the journey. So Bogen becomes a character in her own novel, while claiming to be uncertain of Rothman's sanity. A satirical look at a civilization, its attitude to race, feminism, government, higher education, and men.
