Synopsis: The downloading of human memories and personalities into specialized computers, commonly known as "Mind Capture," has become a standard medical procedure. But Cyberneurologist Dr. Jeffery Langas has just been handed a very non-standard case. Marianne Lewis is a young victim of a car crash, one that was believed to be intentional, and Dr. Langas is charged with capturing her mind so she can testify. The hospital and doctors have their lives upended by the case, but even as that comes to a close, strange things begin happening in the hospital, things that make no scientific sense, and they must figure out what the cause is as they slowly watch the "immortal" minds of so many patients die without reason.
