This afterword to the American anthology is the uncredited "Der Maddrax-Rückblick auf die Bände 1 bis 499" from Maddrax #500-501 (there's a PDF of the German piece online to compare with what there is of the American one in the Google Books preview). The title page and so the authorship in English is among the pages skipped in the preview; if it's bylined Ian Rolf Hill as in the condensed "The Story So Far" leading off the anthology, then it would disagree with the ISFDB varianting of the original to digest editor Michael Schönenbröcher.
