Synopsis: Just then the reverberation of the field artillery sounded off in the direction of the outpost. Tžaryd had heard cannon shots before. This sounded different. He held up a hand, sensing Simian was going to speak, urging silence. Another shot was fired.Tžaryd looked up at his hairy friend, catching his eye. "Simian, Dave wants to rid your island of those man-things that held you in their hut." Tžaryd searched for a word in the Grell language to describe the Nazis but found the innocent tongue lacking. "Those men are worse than cannibals, the man-things that eat their own. These man-things-NAZIS- want to make slaves of the Andukomen, the apes, and people. They are bad, BAD!"Simian was beginning to understand. Tžaryd continued."Not even the baby is safe from them. Tsonga the baboon and triceratops is not safe from these Nazis." Tžaryd wasn't sure if Simian knew these animals. In the mind of his friend they were translated into meaning the Tsonga and the triceratops of his island. He had animals that corresponded to the names. "Those noises, they are a terrible lightning and thunder; a terrible lightning and thunder that can destroy from a great distance."Simian listened as yet a third shell was spent. He huffed and crossed his arms over his chest. He contemplated all that had befallen him since first the man-things ever touched his island. It was an unpleasant walk down memory lane for him. Yet he had survived all and had come through the stronger for it. He wanted all these man-things away from here. They had brought nothing but pain. Yet he trusted his friend Tžaryd and believed his words. This powerful figure that stood before him was an enigma. Never had Simian seen such a human. Yet he said he was an Anduk, a great ape. Simian was a gorilla. Yet he was so far evolved beyond even that that he could not even say what he was, Anduk, gorilla, or man.As if reading his thoughts Tžaryd put into word what Simian struggled to articulate."Simian is strong! Simian is Giant Gorilla!
