Synopsis: People are leaving the Earth from a base near the moon, either alone or in pairs. They are embarking on a six thousand year trip, and almost half of them will perish. After six thousand years, their ships will establish a kind of net which will make FTL flight possible. At that point the travelers will be able to return to Earth and no time will have passed for them.
