Synopsis: After a battle at the Matthews system, the forces of the Sondak Confederacy regroup to repel the onslaught of the United Central Systems at a world called Satterfield. While three alien races toy with the balance of power, two young lovers are reunited amid the horrors of battle, and an admiral risks everything to turn the tide of war.
