Synopsis: Ugly Starling is a foundling tormented by her foster family until at last she strikes back and, convinced she has committed murder, flees into the wilderness. Prince Hawke is hopelessly demented, his mind ravaged by the "gift" that should have made him a powerful heir to the throne. Together they are their planet's only hope against Terran dominance.
