Synopsis: A story told in a rainy afternoon: it is set in the time of conflict between Christianity and paganism, and concerns the fictional King Hkrikos, ferociously devoted to paganism, and his unsuccessful attempt to kill his nephew Vespaluus who's publicly espousing Christianity. The twist in the tale comes after Vespaluus ascends the throne in his turn.
