Note	Seems to be a copy of the Puffin UK edition for sale in Australia - only an Australian price, plus "Printed in Hong Kong ..." on the copyright page, but Penguin UK is the first of five Penguins listed on the copyright page. Seems to be 3rd printing: Published in Puffin Books 1972 Reprinted 1978, 1980 Title page simply "Penguin Books", no locale Front cover art not specifically credited. First page states "Cover design by Jack Newnham". It is not in the same style as the interior art (as b/w back cover may be). Newnham taken to be the cover artist. Apparently same style as cover of An Older King of Magic credited to Newnham. OCLC: WorldCat apparently lacks a record of this printing Novel spans p[7-192] with p8-189 numbered p[6] is the author's "note to readers, especially professors" concerning the events to be reported: ... "I wish to make it clear that I cannot enter into any correspondence about the events described in these pages." ...
