(same size, cheaper) --"Downey & Co.'s New Books" -12-14 The Spectator p872 and The Saturday Review p814 In the latter publication two weeks earlier, the same edition ("Imp. 16mo, gilt top, 3s. 6d.) appears under the subheading "Two New Christmas Books". A long notice of small one-line listings, "Publications of the Week" The Spectator -11-30 p776, reports "cr 8vo" (Crown octavo) "3/6" for this author/title/publisher.
