Meagre coverage in newspaper notices and advertisements, and in library records, shows Nimmo's Popular Tales to be a series of anthologies. British Library records generally cover the stories individually. For volume 2 (scheduled to be ready on the first of July, from newspapers), ten works are catalogued (BL, below) as "In : Nimmo (William P.) Nimmo's Popular Tales, etc. vol. 2. 1866, etc. 8º.", or equivalent.
