Was Valley Beyond Time (Vaughan Wilkins) actually reviewed in both in Jul56 and Mar56? Alvonruff 11:28, 11 Nov 2006 (CST)

I was going to post a query about this in the next batch of field updates. Yes, the book was mentioned in both; the second mention is as part of a review of the year. Santesson mentions several worthwhile books, but this one received an extra sentence or two, commenting on its good qualities. The others were simply listed as recommended. I hesitated but ultimately decided that this qualified, but I could see this going either way. Mike Christie 11:55, 11 Nov 2006 (CST)

That's cool, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some kind of typo. We have a modern version of this problem with Paul Di Filippo's reviews in Asimov's. While reviewing a specific book, he will mention some number of other books written by the same author; he might even discuss those books in some depth, but it's really just supporting text for the book under review. I only enter the reviewed book in that case. In a year-end review, I think that entering the book again is the right thing to do. Alvonruff 17:59, 11 Nov 2006 (CST)
