Welcome!

Hello, Fitzaubrey, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 20:00, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

Midnight Girl

Hello, I've approved your submission for this book but made some changes to conform to our standards: 1) regularized publisher to "Smashwords", 2) transferred ASIN into the note field, 3) added currency symbol (I supposed $), 4) uploaded scan. Result is here. Hauck 20:05, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

Saucer Holler et al.

Hi. I've accepted your submission, but had to make the following changes:

  • Fix typo in series name (abd --> and)
  • Added source of synopsis - if quoting verbatim, sources are mandatory.
  • The Amazon ASIN goes in its own External ID (multi-) field, not in the ISBN field.
  • Price requires a currency symbol
  • Don't know where you got the price from (Amazon is a pain in the back), but I've double checked on the author's page, and I'm getting $2.99 (as of 2020-11-21) so I've entered that one.
  • Expanded the notes to 'Data from Amazon.com as of 2020-11-21' --> Always a good idea to clearly add where you got the data from, and date when that data was retrieved!
  • For self-published work (eg through Amazon), we enter the author as the publisher.
  • For ebooks, we do not enter page numbers as pages are rather meaningless for electronic publications (except for pdf's, that is) - they can go in the notes field if you want to record the info.

Oh and as for eligibility, as long as there are robots and spaceships and whatnot, no worries :) MagicUnk 08:42, 21 November 2020 (EST)

Mr. Wilson's Neighborhood

Thanks for adding this one. One small thing: the credit of May Dawney Designs 2022 on the copyright page contains the year of the copyright - the actual credit is just May Dawney Designs :) I've fixed it there. Annie (talk) 10:04, 22 December 2022 (EST)
