British fandom of the late 1970s and early 1980s had a Scottish fan also known as Bob Shaw (birthdate/birthplace etc. unknown), disambiguated in the ISFDB as [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/ea.cgi?Bob_Shaw_%28I%29 Bob Shaw (I)]. To differentiate from the more famous Northern Ireland author he was more commonly known – and made appearances in fanzines – as "Fake Bob Shaw", "Bob fake Shaw", "Bob (Glasgow) Shaw", "Bob FOKT Shaw" (FOKT being the name of his Glasgow SF club, Friends of Kilgore Trout) etc. Editors may need to exercise care when attributing works to either.
