Welcome!

Hello, NoCoolUserName, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 03:04, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Lords and Ladies by Pratchett

Thanks for submitting a record for a new edition of this title. Are you entering data from a copy of the book? If so, I have a couple of questions before I can accept the submission. Is "BCA" actually stated as the publisher of this edition and is it dated 2006? Also, you placed a URL in the PubSeries field which I believe you meant for the cover image field. Unfortunately, we can not link our records to other websites in order to draw images from their server without having explicit permission to do so. Because photobucket has unstable URLs we ask that you either upload a copy of the file to our server or link it to an image file that may be on one of the sites that give us permission. (Instructions for uploading and a list of websites are on the page linked above in the welcome section.) Thanks for contributing and welcome to the ISFDB. Mhhutchins 03:12, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Howl

Hello, I've put your submission on hold and will likely reject it after you reviewed it. As it is, it's correct for a single novel but this ebook is in fact an OMNIBUS (composed of more than one previously published NOVEL). What you first should do is to create a new OMNIBUS (via the "Add New Omnibus" hyperlink of the right) which will be titled _World of Howl_, be published by "Greenwillow Books / HarperCollins", have a price of "$24.99" and an ISBN-13 "9780062373151" (also fill the other fields if possible, except the number of pages which is not relevant for an ebook). It will also contain the three "Howl" NOVELs that you will enter individually in the "Content" part. There will bo more steps to take after that (adding an immage, a series, merging the contents), that we'll see later. Hauck 16:55, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

Do I make my comments here?
Yes.
I knew I wasn't doing it right. Saw the "Add Collection" but missed "Add Omnibus"--OldTimers no doubt. Thanks for helping me out.

Reject that one, new "Add Omnibus" coming in.

I tweaked a bit your submission: added $ sign, changed to ISBN-13 instead of ISBN-10 (logical for a 2014 title), added spaces in publisher's name (ISFDB standard), changed series from "Howl" to "Howl's Castle", deleted number of pages. I also merged the novels. Result is here. Hauck 20:00, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

Excellent. Just wanted to get that puppy in somehow, since I noticed it missing. I'm so excited to be contributing--in my microscopic way--to the accuracy and completeness of the isfdb. :-) Publisher's site gives # of pages, so I did too. Figured more info is better than less. You're the expert, so no worries, mate.
