This may be the Dudley A. Bragdon who lived in St. Louis at this time. The St. Louis "Dudley Acton Bragdon", who also uses "Dudley A. Bragdon" is the copyright holder of various "dramatic works" between 1897 and 1913, hence is an author. If this identification is correct, then the death certificate for this person, available by searching Missouri Death Certificates for "Dudley Bragdon", turns up the basic data about his life: He was born on July 29, 1876 in St. Louis. He was a vice-president of an insurance company, he was married, and he committed suicide on Oct. 1, 1917 with a gunshot to the head.
