Beth Bernobich (born December 12, 1959) is a science fiction and fantasy writer. In 2004, she was a finalist for the Gaylactic Spectrum Awards for her novelette "[http://www.strangehorizons.com/2003/20030120/poison.shtml Poison]". Her novelettes "A Flight of Numbers Fantastique Strange" and "The Golden Octopus" were on the Locus Recommended Reading List for 2006 and 2008. Her novel '''Passion Play''' won the RT Reviewers Choice Award for Best Epic Fantasy, and appeared on the long list for both the 2010 Tiptree Award and the 2011 British Fantasy Award.
 
 
 
Bernobich's short fiction has appeared in magazines such as ''[[Tor.com]]'', ''[[Asimov's]]'', ''[[Interzone]]'', ''[[Baen's Universe]]'', ''[[Postscripts]]'', and ''[[Strange Horizons]]'', as well as anthologies such as '''Sex in the System''', '''Polyphony 2''', and '''The Year's Best Science Fiction and Fantasy'''. Her first novel, '''Passion Play''', appeared from Tor Books in October 2010, with four more novels to follow. Her first YA novel, '''Fox and Phoenix''', is forthcoming from Viking Children's Books in October 2011.
