Welcome!

Hello, Aplonis, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Stonecreek 04:35, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

Mazirien la Magiisto

Many thanks for adding this COLLECTION and sorry that it took a while for approving it! I had to remove the cover image link since the image is hosted by a site that we do not have permission to link to (you may upload an image using the 'Upload new cover scan' button in the publicational data area of the publication if you like). One question: Is 'Vortaro' a piece of fiction or an essay? Stonecreek 04:41, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

I removed the link to the non-permitting website, and uploaded a copy of the image file to the ISFDB server, linking it to the publication record. I also removed "Free" from the Price field, noting its availability in the Note field. I also varianted the translated titles to the original ones. Thanks for contributing. I also removed the series name from the translated title record. A variant title is automatically given the title of the parent title, regardless of its language. Do not enter series data in translated title records. Mhhutchins 06:35, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
I have changed "Vortaro" to ESSAY and disambiguated the titled under the assumption that it's a glossary. Mhhutchins 06:40, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
"Vortaro" is Esperanto for Dictionary. The translation has a built-in dictionary of terms thought to be outside a beginner's vocabulary. Entries in the dictionary are mutually hyperlinked to first appearance in the text. This is a standard feature of my translations. Aplonis 22:11, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
All the more reason to consider it ESSAY and not SHORTFICTION. Thanks. Mhhutchins 22:33, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
