Welcome!

Hello, Bwhm, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 01:32, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Un-Dead TV

I've accepted the submissions adding the two publications for this title, but have made changes in order for them to comply with ISFDB standards. (Those standards are explained in the help pages linked in the Welcome section above.)

  • Publication date was changed to 2012-12-01, based on the Amazon listing. If this is not correct, please edit the records.
  • Currency ($) was added to the price. (As an international database, we require the currency symbol to distinguish the price.)
  • Link to an unpermitted site's cover image was changed to the one on Amazon. We require that websites give us explicit permission to deep-link to the images on their servers.
That link was to an image on one of my websites, but using the Amazon image is fine Bwhm 01:57, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
  • By creating two records for the same work, two titles were also created. The best way to add different publications of the same work is to wait until a submission creating a publication record and title record has been created. Then either "Add a New Publication" to the title or "Clone This Pub" function. I've merged the two titles so that both publications appear under the same title record.

I noticed there's a difference between the page count of the two editions. Is that correct?

My apologies, I rechecked the hardcover and the last numbered page is 512. I have corrected the listing. Bwhm 01:57, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

To respond to this message, click on the "[edit]" link to the right. Enter your response in the dialogue box which opens. Start your message with a colon (:) which separates and indents it from the previous message making it easier to follow the discussion. In successive messages, add another colon to the number in the previous message. End your entry with four tildes (~~~~), which will automatically "sign" and date your message. Then click the "Save page" button. When someone has left a message on your talk page, you will be notified by a highlighted "My Messages" link when you log into the ISFDB. I have placed a "Watch" on this page so that I will be notified when you respond. Keep all discussions on the same talk page on which it begins. Do not respond on the other person's talk page.

Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 01:45, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
