Welcome!

Hello, Clown2theleft, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mhhutchins 00:49, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Editor credit for Phantasm and Iniquities

I accepted the submissions changing the editor credit for Iniquities based on the Miller/Contento index which credited Gonzalez as the managing editor. (Ordinarily we only credit the main editor in cases such as this.) But I could find no corroborating source for Buddy Martinez as being an editor of Phantasm. Do you have copies of the issues, and can provide the editorial credits for each of them? We'd also need you to do a primary verification of the records. Thanks for contributing. Response to Mhhutchins

I do have copies of all four issues of Phantasm. I will retrieve my copies and do a primary verification for you. I can also scan the covers and provide cover art for you, if needed. When I saw the entries, I felt compelled to providing the feedback - incidentally, this is J. F. Gonzalez (clown2theleft was the first username that I came up with when prompted to join). I was primarily the fiction editor for Iniquities, but Buddy Martinez and I worked together on both fiction and non-fiction for that magazine. The titles of Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor were titles only, they didn't really signify hierarchy. Buddy was involved with Phantasm for the first two issues, but stepped back when issue #2 was in production. I suspect 'Iniquities Publishing' was a typo; if it was sourced from the original magazine, that fault lies with either Buddy or myself when the issue was typeset, but the company was Iniquities Publications. Anyway, I'll provide cover scans and primary verification from the original sources. Thanks, and Cheers! J. F. Gonzalez (and I hope I'm doing this right!) Clown2theleft 04:28, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the fast response. I'll accept the submissions to add the editor credit to issues of Phantasm. Please feel free to update the records, adding any missing contents, and uploading the cover image. (Use the link on the records, keeping within the ISFDB size standards, and then link the uploaded file to the record.) Again, thanks for contributing. (BTW, it's best to response to the individual post by clicking on the [edit] link beside it instead of creating a new topic. Just a small detail. No big deal.) Mhhutchins 21:02, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
