Welcome!

Hello, Drwhat, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Stonecreek 08:43, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for submitting this uncatalogued edition. I have put it on hold, however, because there are no contents listed in the entry. I'm not sure if you know of the ways to include the contents if there does exist a similar publication (that is one that has the same set of contents): the first way would be to import them, the second way to clone the existing publication and customize the metadata (publisher, date of publication, price etc. - the data that is unique to your publication). In the first case, I'd approve of your submission and then you should use 'Import Content' button, or, in the second case, the 'Clone This Pub' button: both are to be found on the left tool bar, you only have to decide which one it shall be. For both this could be the publication to use.

Also there are a few problems that need to be fixed with the next step: the price field is meaningless without a currency symbol (maybe it should read $2.99); the catalog ID is missing a leading "#" (only ISBNs proper don't need that prefix) and the link to the cover image won't work (maybe you have one on your hard drive to upload - then please use the 'Upload cover scan' button that is associated with a given publication)?

I also have a question: Usually we don't enter the page count for ebooks as they have no pages/pagination. Is there a pagination in your ebook? If not, please delete the number of pages from the field: you may note it analogous to the existing ebook. Thanks for contributing! Stonecreek 09:04, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

The catalog number you entered is not a true publisher's catalog number. It is Amazon's product identifier. Because it is used only be this one retailer, it shouldn't be entered into the ISBN/Catalog # field. You have the option to record the ASIN in the Note field as "Kindle ASIN: B004K1FI16". Due to no response the submission was finally approved with the suggested changes. Stonecreek 04:16, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
